Vida Odel (23)
Vida has a sweet warm personality and is a tremendous help to Agnes. She looks after the younger girls and does much of the cooking. Neither of her parents are living and, as is the case with all of her children, Agnes has therefore provided Vida with a secure safe home and hope for the future.

Eric Gamor (22)
Eric has quite a story of “redemption”. He is a Ghanaian who was born in neighboring Cote D’Ivoire. He was separated from his father by war and at a young age was put into forced labor in a fishing camp, with no pay. He experienced unbelievable abuse until rescued by a relative, returned to Ghana, and put into Agnes’ care. He is a strong mature help to Agnes and the younger boys, and loves to cook.

Harry Godsway (16)
Harry is a bright and talented young man who excels in all that he does. He is a top student, athlete (football) and musician, and aspires to be a surgeon some day. He is a natural leader and a great role model for the younger boys. He regularly leads the daily devotions for Agnes’ family and is involved in the worship team at his church, playing drums.

Patience Addor (16)
Patience is one of three siblings living with Agnes. Deserted by a poor rural father who wanted the children to abandon school and work on a remote farm, she has a wonderful mom (named Rejoice) who put her and brother & sister in Agnes care. Patience is a kind young woman who tenderly cares for the younger girls and shares much of the cooking with Vida. She is an excellent student.

Juliana McCarthy (15)
Juliana is a single parent child whose mother was too poor to properly raise her. She was given to Agnes about a year ago so that she could have a safe home and receive a good education. A top student with a warm friendly personality, Juliana loves to sing and lead the kids in worship during evening devotions. Along with Vida and Patience, she lightens Agnes’ load by caring for the younger girls.g.

Juliet Appiah (15)
Juliet is a cousin to one of the younger girls, Deborah. They were taken out of a home where her mother was quite young, and her father was very abusive. She is quite shy, and her trust must be earned. Nevertheless, she is a hard worker in Agnes’ home, doing some of the cooking, much of the girls’ laundry, and caring for her cousin Deborah. She is a good student and loves to sing.

Saviour Attey (10)
In North America, we would label Saviour as a “work in progress”. He is bright, mischievous, fun, and outgoing, and is a good athlete, He comes from a tough background, being abandoned by his father after his teenage mother passed away. He struggles in school, disappears for a few days from time to time, and doesn’t always get around to doing his assigned chores. We’re praying for him!

Stella Addor (9)
Even at a young age, Stella possesses the same warmth and sweetness as her older sister, Patience. She loves to sing, is good with the younger girls, and does quite well in school. She would be out of school and doing hard manual labour on a rural farm had her mom, Rejoice, not brought her into Agnes’ care.

Deborah Appiah (7)
Deborah is the cousin of Juliet and was taken out of the same abusive home, and put into Agnes’ care. She loves school and is an enthusiastic singer – she can often be heard above Agnes’ other children when singing during the evening devotions. She has a smile and charm that will melt any heart.

Dagbenyo Grant (7)
Dagbenyo is a friendly outgoing young man who is a good student and a good athlete. He is also a loving brother to his sister, Esianyo, who is also living with Agnes. He comes from an extremely poor household that could not afford to raise and educate both him and his sister. Agnes welcomed them in last year, with open arms.

Yao Kwanu (7)
Yao is a tender little guy who comes from a tough home. His father abandoned the entire family when his mother became pregnant with him, His mom then remarried, but the stepfather wanted nothing to do with Yao, and he was once again abandoned. He cries easily but is now in a secure, loving and Godly environment.

Bismark Addor (6)
Nothing will sink this Bismark! Like his two older sisters, and his mom, he has a warm gracious smile and a winning personality. He is one of the more recent additions to Agnes’ home, being sent by his mom who didn’t want her husband to force him into hard labour on a rural farm. He is now receiving a good education, good nutrition, lots of love from Agnes, and support from his older siblings.

Esianyo Grant (5)
Nothing gets by Esianyo, an extremely bright girl who does well in school. She came to Agnes, along with her brother Dagbenyo, from an extremely poor household that could not afford to raise and educate them. Although quite young, she has adjusted well to her new home and is a wonderful addition to the family. She also loves to sing.

Kwame Kabrey (5)
Kwame is an amazing young man. He is the product of rape, and his mother died 8 months after he was born. His grandmother was both too old and too poor to raise him, so she brought him to Agnes, where he now enjoys a safe and loving environment. He is well-adjusted, friendly, warm and outgoing, and is a good student.

Marie Miller (4)
If anyone will pull at your heart strings, it is the youngest of Agnes’ children, Marie (also knowm as “Millah”). When she came to Agnes from an extremely poor family, Marie was very sickly and malnourished. She is now healthy, happy and well-fed. Marie is named after the Canadian evangelist Rev. Marie Miller, who was instrumental in introducing Agnes to the Canadian community that is now helping Agnes.
