The Project

Overview

click here for a progress report…

A “Home for Agnes” will see the construction of a furnished, cinder block, three-bedroom home with running water and the proper amenities to provide for Agnes and her “needies.”   A local engineer and contractor has been hired to oversee the building of this home, enabling us to give back to the community by providing work for the local people.  Construction began the first week of October and we’ll see it completed early in the new year.  Watch for future projects for Agnes to include an expansion/renovation to her Living Faith Foundation Prep School.

Phase OneA Home”In Progress (Raising Funds)

Currently, Agnes, a single mom, and her nine adopted children live separated, with the girls sharing one bed in an office at the school and the boys sleeping kilometers away in a small room without adult supervision.  Although they don’t complain, Agnes worries and needs to have her family together under one roof.  Our focus right now is phase one of this project, which would build Agnes a home where she and the children can live together, allowing Agnes to focus on helping even more children.

Phase Two – Room for More”Vision for the Future

Agnes has a heart for Ghana’s impoverished children, or as she calls them, “her needies”.  Currently, she has a list of nearly fifty children who are abandoned and in need of a home.  Potentially, phase two of this project would see dormitories built attached to Agnes’s home to accommodate additional orphaned boys and girls.

Phase Three – A School Renovation” Vision for the Future

Agnes runs the “Living Faith Prep. School” which has approximately 150 students, most of whom could not afford to attend without Agnes’s help.  Some of the classrooms are inadequate and in need of repairs; others need replacing. A potential phase three would offer upgrades to current classrooms and a possible expansion to accommodate the extra children Agnes would have staying at the orphanage.
