Update: January 30th, 2010

The construction is moving along as planned and on target to finish in early March. As you’ll see from the pictures included below the masons are doing the finishing work on the cement floors and walls. The interior walls will eventually be painted to brighten the home up. Much of the electrical and plumbing fixtures and supplies have been purchased and are now in the process of being installed. As these items are expensive and more easily removed from the premises than lumber and bricks we’ve hired a night watchman for security until the home is finished and lived in. Agnes had been patrolling the property at night as she was worried things may be stolen.

I think you’d agree that this was not a viable option and not safe for her. Emile, our head contractor was very helpful in finding a trustworthy individual for this position. It is very evident that God’s hand is upon Agnes, the children and all involved in the construction of this home as I continue to hear only good reports back from Sogakope, Ghana.

Thank you for your participation.
